There are many ways to get involved with NM-REAL. Extend your journey in alternative communities the way that's fun for you to contribute.​

Participate
You don't need to be a member to attend many events is a great way to start your participation! Connect more by contributing in ways that are fun for you. You might help NM-REAL organize events or teach others in the community.

Join Us
When you're ready an interested, join as a member of NM-REAL so you have a stronger voice in our organization and benefits of membership.

Volunteer
You don't need to be a member to volunteer to help NM-REAL and our community. Learn from others in NM-REAL and help spread your wisdom to those in NM-REAL. This organization can help provide a platform on which you can help our communities in ways that are important to you.

Donate
NM-REAL is recognized by the IRS under section 501(c)(3) under EIN 99-2887899 as a 509(a)(2) public charity where donors may deduct on their taxes any gifts, bequests, devices, and transfers. NM-REAL will provide documentation of your contributions at your request.
Participate:
You don't need to be a member to participate and attend our events. Participation is the first step to to learn, teach, socialize, and start or continue on your journey in safe spaces. Advocate for the right to express your own alternative lifestyle that is true to yourself. You don't have to be a member of NM-REAL to participate in many of our events. Some of the events you may find include:

Join Us:
We would love to have you become an involved member of NM-REAL through participation and being active in our community events in whatever way works well for you and benefits our community. You can learn more about what it means to become a member and how to become a member.

Obtaining NM-REAL pins and patches.

Other benefits such as discounts at events and vendors.

There are two levels of membership, Associate and Full members. Associates are a fist-level of membership that do not vote, but are otherwise engaged in NM-REAL and have other membership benefits such as obtaining pins and small patches. Full Members may vote and become board members, have small patch and pins, and eventually have a large patch. There are multiple paths to becoming a member of NM-REAL, so check with a current Full member, Board member, or see the "How to Join" information on this website.
Volunteer:
What's fun for you? You don't need to be a member of NM-REAL to participate by volunteering in different ways that create safe space and education for your community. Volunteering can be behind the scenes or at public events. Volunteerism is participation that can, if you choose, lead to membership in NM-REAL. You might:

Help set up and run events.
Help on committees.
Help with the operation of NM-REAL.
Teach your skills to our community.
Help with fundraising.

Demonstrate support for NM-REAL's mission.
Vote in NM-REAL business.

Donate:
Donations of funds and items to NM-REAL, Inc. are fully tax deductible. We very much appreciate your donations! They help the volunteer Board Members and other volunteers of NM-REAL carry out our purposes of education and advocacy for alternative lifestyles and creation of safe space. Donations may be unspecified - for any purpose determined by the board, or specified for a particular use. Here are some ways you can donate:
